Description
As a Medical Assistant, Certified within the Primary Care Clinic you will perform delegated medical functions under the direction of a provider or RN in the delivery of care for all assigned patient populations, in accordance with all policy, procedure and practice guidelines. The CMA supports providers in the delivery of patient care services. Prepares examining areas and patients for examination by provider. Records patients medical history and other relevant data. Assists provider with patient examinations and minor surgical procedures. Administers injections or gives treatments under direction. Schedules or performs clinical procedures as provider directs. May perform scheduling, medical records and business-related tasks. Supports patient focused care.
To qualify for this role, you must possess:
- Be a graduate of an accredited medical assistant program (AAMA or ABHES). Certified as a medical assistant or able to obtain certification within one year of hire if not certified as a medical assistant.
- Be a team player, flexible, organized, and possess excellent customer service skills

Preferred:
- 1-2 years experience in a related clinic setting
