Doherty Career Solutions has teamed with a leading manufacturing company in the Midwest to hire a Director of Sales. This person will provide leadership to sales representatives and sales managers in direct sales, distribution, OEM, and National Accounts, while developing the overall sales strategy for the company. This is a direct hire opportunity, requires 50% travel, no relocation needed if near a major airport.
Duties:
· Develop national sales strategy regarding identifying new markets and additional products
· Establish short and long term department goals, and track sales quotas to evaluate sales staff
· Train sales staff in selling techniques, and train customers on use of product
· Hire new sales representatives and supervise team in United States territory
· Identify and develop new customers while maintaining sales within existing customer bases
· Manage departmental sales budgets
· Directly participate in sales of major client accounts
· Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors and distributors while maintaining a strong relationship
· Assist in product marketing, advertising campaigns, community involvment, and overall company branding
· Work with senior leadership to forcast strategic business plans, and sales strategies
Requirements:
· 10+ years experience in Senior Level Sales
· Experience in direct, distribution, OEM, and National Accounts sales is preferred.
· Master’s Degree in Business or Marketing is highly preferred
· Ability to travel 50% of the time
