The Attendant Console Representative will act as the official greeter and first point of contact for UCare callers. Create a positive experience/impression for callers. The customer contact may take place via telephone, written correspondence, web, fax, or voicemail and is imperative to member retention. Provide project/administrative support for the Customer Service department. Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Answer, screen and direct incoming calls from members, providers, internal departments, and external agencies in a timely and professional manner.
- Respond to correspondence via the message center.
- Maintain and update attendant console manual and ensure back-up staff are trained and follow procedures of the attendant console.
- Maintain good working relationships and open communication with internal and external customers.
- Attend department and other meetings as requested.
High school graduate or equivalent required. Two year degree in a health related , liberal arts, or communication field preferred.
Two years receptionist, customer service or call center experience required. Business office, secretarial or administrative experience considered. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Proficient computer skills also required. We prefer experience in call center or health insurance (HMO, physician group practice, or community agency.)
**This position is part-time (.6) working 24 hours per week.**
There are two positions available with the two shifts are as follows:
- 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- 12:00 p.m. to 5 p.m.
