Full Charge Bookkeeper/General Accountant

Intelligent Nutrients, a Minneapolis based certified organic health and beauty company, is seeking an organized & detail-oriented Full Time Bookkeeper/Accountant to assist our accounting/finance team in NE Minneapolis.

Based on experience, responsibilities include:

  • Accounts receivable: statement preparations, past due account monitoring and follow-up, payment processing - credit cards, checks,
  • Monthly product sales reporting
  • Fixed assets: additions, deletions, depreciation
  • Sales Tax preparation
  • Month-end closing procedures, journal entries and financial report preparation
  • Assist in development of annual operating expense budget
  • Track gift card usage in POS system and ensure appropriate reporting in MAS
  • Setup promotional programs in POS system and ensure appropriate reporting in MAS
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Develop and maintain global inventory forecast/plan – tracking sales by item and forecasts
  • Maintain, monitor and report/communicate variances from forecast to plan
  • Assist in maintaining “in stock” and “on time” shipping
  • Work with sales, marketing and operations teams to provide accurate forecast
  • Assist in MAS implementation of inventory forecasting and budget tracking
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly: bank account, credit card statements, general and sub-ledger
  • Accounts payables: invoice entry, check preparation, W-9 and 1099 reporting
  • Import daily retail sales activity from Point of Sale (POS) system into MAS operating system
  • Other duties and special projects as requested to support accounting department

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred

Experience: 1-3 years+ progressive responsibility in bookkeeping, accounting, inventory planning/forecasting.

Other: Proven analytical skills/experience. Attentive to details yet able to see the “big picture”, thorough, strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills. Fluency in accounting software, MAS experience a plus, Microsoft Office, Excel.
