Humera is currently seeking an IT Asset Manager. This is a long term opportunity working at a Fortune 1000 industrial manufacturing company in Bloomington. The successful candidate will be bright, self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic, a valuable member of the IT support team, who has a good working knowledge of, and experience in, providing IT support.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes and implements hardware and software acquisition, protection, maintenance and retention policies, standards and procedures and ensures their alignment with IT standards and strategy
- Investigates available hardware and software products, evaluates procedures for appropriateness based on user requirements and makes recommendations to management
- Coordinates with the procurement function to interview, select and negotiate with hardware and software vendors in order to purchase the appropriate equipment at the lowest cost
- Reviews licenses and/or contracts to ensure that hardware and software equipment is covered by the contract and properly documented
- Update asset database, software/hardware tracking
- Mobile device support (ordering, activation, questions, warranty exchanges, setting standards, rental phones, arranging support calls with wireless vendor, etc.)
- Computer leasing (PC inventory, requests\upgrades, ordering, managing, coordinate lease scheduling with the end user, driving lease process from end to end)
- Process incoming computer requests/upgrades
- Hardware and Software ordering, purchasing/quoting, processing purchase orders (PO), reporting, journaling
- Checking in new hardware and creating deployment requests
- Liaison with vendors
- Identify and approve hardware standards
- Executive Support
- Reporting and Asset Management (Software licensing, PC allocation, software audits/reviews)
- Create morning report
- Service Desk tickets
- Send Service Desk survey's and track results
- Set up new employees in Service Desk
- Create and resolve change orders
- Video Conferencing Support (Training, Support, coordinating maintenance, etc.)
- Following change management and asset management processes
- Talking staff/clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone
- Have the ability to drive resolution and work independently
- Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to other parties, if appropriate)
- Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with end users and other professionals
- Ability to work as a part of a team and to collaborate with colleagues
- Excellent interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility

- Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time
- Providing IT support to all staff locally and remotely, including procedural documentation
- Provide other maintenance and support as requested
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Have the ability to drive resolution and work independently
