We are currently seeking a part time Sr. Data Analyst to join HealthPartners Care Innovation & Measurement department. This is a one year temporary position which has the potential for permanent hire.

Position responsibilities include:

* Applies sound statistical principals to perform analysis of data sets and has the ability to present the information in a way that business and clinical owners can understand. The analysis is related to healthcare data.

* Acts as an internal consultant to leadership, improvement teams and other staff to identify appropriate use of statistical methodology and display.

* Ensures data integrity using established methods of data validation.

* Documents issues and problems regarding internal data sets and all vended data services and communicates that to the appropriate stakeholders.

* Makes recommendations for resolution to identified issues and problems.

* Recommends formatting improvements to our current reporting and continuously looks for new formatting ideas.

* Enhances processes and procedures to facilitate accurate and timely reporting and analysis.

* Completes proactive clinical chart audits to determine quality integrity issues or better understanding of opportunities

* Researches up to date ideas from external sources to apply to health care.

* Continuously researches best practices and improvement opportunities for measurement display and improvement.

* Develops implements and improves methods for collecting and maintaining data.

* Maintains relationships with data collection departments and business owners to integrate measurement and reporting capabilities.

* Leverages desktop analytical and reporting tools specifically the Microsoft Office Suite of products and other reporting software to support measurement analysis.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree along with a minimum of 4 year’s experience in healthcare and/or business information systems and at least 3 years of experience in data analysis. Excellent interpersonal communication and group process skills are required. Demonstrated data development, analysis and problem solving skills is necessary along with the ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and constituents at all levels of the organization.
