This position supports the Product Management in the tactical and internal aspects of the development, enhancement and maintenance of health and wellness programs offered by HealthPartners and delivered within the Health Promotion Department. This position works across the organization by leading the implementation process for product initiatives and oversees the development of processes that support assigned products and programs in concert with Service Operations and Customer Strategy. This position provides support for training for various entities across the organization on new products and enhancements. This position also provides consultation and subject matter expertise for other related health and wellness initiatives across the enterprise.

ACCOUNTABILITIES: (Key roles, responsibilities & functions for this position)

1. Assists in product process with feasibility, design and development of product initiatives in coordination with both internal and external partners to ensure exceptional participant experience with in-house and partnered health and well-being solutions

2. Develops, enhances and maintains high quality health and wellness products utilizing industry best practices and applicable evidence informed guidelines.

3. Maintains up-to-date product training materials

4. Ensures health and wellness products are designed to achieve high levels of engagement and help participants meet their personal lifestyle management goals.

5. Utilizes participant and client feedback and program outcomes to assess the effectiveness of health and wellness products, provide recommendations for product improvements and collaborate on improvement initiatives.

6. Collaborates with Service Operations on applicable customer and/or participant satisfaction complaints and subsequent resolutions related to health and wellness products.

7. Provides subject matter expertise and consultation for program and product development and applicable enterprise wide health and wellness initiatives. Identifies all opportunities for integration with Health Promotion Department related products across the enterprise.

8. Facilitates training sessions including coordination of training content, scheduling and evaluation of training sessions related to all aspects of products for internal Health Promotion Department teams (as applicable) and across the organization including Sales.

9. Identifies training and quality assurance opportunities for improvement for Health Promotion Department

10. Maintains working knowledge of online and web based applications and systems which support health and well-being products

11. Provides request for proposal (RFP) submissions related to applicable health and wellness programs and products; assist with maintaining an up-dated database of RFP questions and answers.

12. Assists with client based worksite health and wellness activities such as group coaching, health and wellness presentations, health fairs, open enrollment events and other client facing meetings as needed to represent HealthPartners as a subject matter expert.

13. Keeps up-to-date on industry standards, trends and innovations. Provides consultation to Health Promotion Department leadership on changing and up-coming industry trends.

14. Supports Health Promotion Department annual plan goals and objectives.

15. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Minimum qualifications needed for this position)

* Bachelor’s degree in health-related field.

* Three years of experience in project leadership, including goal setting, problem solving, delegation and collaboration, goal completion and project evaluation/improvement.

* Three to five years of experience in health promotion, disease prevention and/or disease self-management oriented programs including online programs

* Experience with facilitating training sessions

* Experience and training in behavior change methodologies (i.e. Prochaska’s behavior change model, motivational interviewing, Intrinsic Coaching)

* Knowledge of accreditation standards, ICSI guidelines and national guidelines for medical topics related to Health Promotion Department products/programs.

* Strong analytical skills

* Ability to conduct quality reviews, interpret and apply information from literature to real-world settings.

* Self-starter

* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

* Ability to represent Health Promotion Department and HealthPartners in a professional manner

* Demonstrated planning and organizational skills

* Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing priorities.

* Ability to work independently.

* Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects

* Strong customer/client service orientation.

* Strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Office products and capability to learn other computer and web-based applications and systems


* Master’s degree in Nutrition, Health Education, or other health-related field.

* Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement practices.

* Understanding of health management systems (benefits, managed care).
