We are currently seeking a Epic Cadence Scheduling/Epic Identity Analyst to join our IS&T department in St. Paul, MN. This position will analyze, design, support and implement Epic Cadence and Identity systems to ensure productive use by trained end users and will provide daily monitoring of the Cadence and Identity systems to ensure accuracy and integrity of data. This position will also plan, organize, schedule, direct and control small or midsize projects, within the Epic Cadence and Identity applications

Additional responsibilities include:

• Analyzes and researches system, process, and data problems.
• Performs system testing, verifying that system changes do not affect interfaces with other systems, data storage, and/or processing. If possible, performs unit testing, sending data through sections of code to verify the correct output.
• Assists IS&T Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) group and works closes with the HIPAA Security Group to ensure EDI transactions are HIPAA compliant with interfaces with vendors, clearinghouses and payers.
• Assists with the creation of test plans, gathering test data, and creation of any hard output.
• Coordinates testing needs, such as servers, capacity, and database support.
• Provide printers and workstations configuration for new sites, and site moves.
• Responds to critical situations and analyzes problem situations in depth. Monitors the data, unit testing, and provides database analysis for data corruption.
• Performs any needed MasterFile maintenance for set up of Identity or scheduling configurations, printer/output set up and menu creation; documenting any changes and maintaining historical records for auditing or governance purposes.
• Develops metrics to analyze current functionality, capacity, and future needs.
• Provides analysis, risk, and cost assessment, and staff availability associated with any request for change, assisting with their prioritization of requests.
• Develops any necessary enhancements or utilities and works with Epic to try to get the enhancement or utility developed by the vendor.
• Participates in IS&T disaster recovery planning and auditing requests.
• Defines and provides consultation on EDI transactions throughout Care Delivery Systems including ancillary systems.
• Corrects and maintains databases associated with Identify as it correlates to other systems.
• Reviews daily IS&T change management announcements and participates in change management documentation as required for new implementations.
• Responds readily to issues assigned through the IS&T support center, documenting resolution.
• Assists in coordinating development for ad hoc reporting, scheduled reports, and changes to the current output.
• Attends Epic training on new versions of Cadence and Identity software
• Maintains current knowledge, trends, technology of Epic application software, O/S, data bases interfaces, and maintains a strong working knowledge of security and confidentiality requirements for patient data. Remains current with application development throughout IS&T and initiatives that are within IS&T and throughout the HealthPartners corporation.
• Works within the framework of the Hub structure, maintains consistency with the domain of the current desk description and the job functionality of other IS&T Care Delivery Staff.
• Maintains a working knowledge of business processes associated with scheduling. Also maintains a strong working knowledge of patient identifiers and how those identifiers are created, linked together, and possible transactions that could change the relationship to those links.
• Assists with requirements methodology and clearly defines requirement needs.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems or equivalent along with at least six years IT analysis and technical design experience and three years project management experience. This position also requires working knowledge of Chronicles and Bridges, familiarity with Epic MasterFiles, working knowledge of Cache’ databases and structure and working knowledge of Epic Data Courier process. The ideal candidate will also be Epic certified in Cadence and Identity.
