Clinical Learning Specialist

This individual is required to have expertise in the care of a specific population of patients or in a specialized function.  This person provides direct services to patient/families/clients and directs and/or participates in the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning for assigned groups or departments.  (S)he establishes and monitors standards of care related to a specialty area, and participates in research and other scholarly activities.  This individual provides leadership in creating and promoting an environment of evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary care delivery.  Role functions also include educator, consultant, coach, and liaison regarding learning theory and the competence development of staff. 


BS or BA in Nursing. Prefer MS or MA in Nursing.

MN RN license. Prefer Specialty certification upon hire or within 1 year of hire.

Must have 2 years clinical experience in the OR.

Competence in the use of computer systems/applications used in education preferred.
