Allina Commons is the Minneapolis-based headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Allina's Abbott Northwestern Hospital, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.
Responsibilities
Assignments may include one of more of the following functions:
- Provide billing or claims submission of reimbursement
- Monitoring and follow up for unpaid insurance accounts receivables
- Review and work rejected and denied claims
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers
- Advanced knowledge of the entire revenue cycle operations
- Ability to analyze and trend and resolve one or more of the following: Underpayment/low payment Review/appeal and account resolution for denials related to coding and or case management
- Aging accounts receivable that requires escalated review for resolution
- Detailed knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPC coding knowledge and understanding of payer reimbursement rules, laws and regulations that govern collection activity
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred knowledge of Epic
- Ability to accept change as the medical industry changes with new legislation
- Ability to learn multiple patient account billing systems
- Knowledge of Third Party Payer Requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of Government Rules and Regulations as they apply to claims submissions and resolutions
- Familiarity with Managed Care, PPO, HMO and other insurance plan types

- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Day shift
