1. Review and understand the budgets and financial statements for the properties
2. Monitor the monthly financial operations of the properties
3. Create operating budgets for new developments
4. Prepare summary financial statements
Maintain compliance with funders
1. Ensure compliance with government regulations
2. Help to transition projects into operation
3. Create and maintain ownership entities
Assure resident satisfaction
1. Maintain strong relationships with property management personnel and service providers
2. Conduct resident surveys
3. Visit properties and monitor resident conditions
Ensure the organization provides high-quality housing
1. Develop and manage a capital improvement plans
2. Conduct regular physical reviews of the properties
3. Provide oversight to property managers
Act as the communication “hub” for operating properties
1. Maintain positive relationships with
a. Contracted property management firms
b. Residents
c. Neighborhood groups
d. Contracted service providers
2. Possess excellent organization and communication skills
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area
· Experience with property management and preferred experience with affordable housing and asset management
· Experience with public funding, compliance, etc. related to affordable housing
· Strong financial aptitude
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent relationship and problem solving skills.
· Strong organization and time management skills
