The Department of Computer Science at the University of Minnesota, Duluth solicits applications for a full-time term faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. A Ph.D. in Computer Science is required by June 30, 2013. In addition, at least one year of relevant teaching experience at the college level and good written communication skills are required. Experience teaching junior-senior level computer science courses is preferred. We are seeking to enrich the diversity of the University. Applicants with expertise in software engineering or a closely related discipline are preferred. Preference will also be given to applicants having good oral communication skills and interpersonal skills, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and evidence of the ability to work effectively with diverse groups. The successful candidate is expected to teach a variety of upper-level courses in the department’s undergraduate programs and fulfill typical department and professional service obligations. This position is available beginning August 26, 2013. The Department offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems and a Master of Science in Computer Science.
