Provide overall direction and daily management of the operation of designated medical units. Assure operational goals and objectives are obtained through planning, implementing and directing of programs, procedures, systems and support personnel. Assist in planning, research, development and implementation of new or modified techniques, methods, practices and approaches requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative. Identifies specialized, unique or complex problem areas and develops recommendations. Bachelors degree or equivalent (AD with four to eight years experience), and a minimum of two to eight years related supervisory experience in a healthcare environment. Special Knowledge/Skill/Certifications/Licenses: Demonstrates strong leadership, human relations, verbal and written communication skills. Proven leadership skills in organizing, planning and directing an operation and its staff. Demonstrates good judgment and problem solving skills. Intermediate level computer skills required, including but not limited to email, spreadsheets, word processing and calendars. If position requires a RN, current Minnesota license is required. National Certification in Nursing Administration desired.
