Assists with preparing detailed specifications including record layouts, program descriptions, decision tables, etc. Does coding, testing and implementation for enhancement and maintenance of current systems. In most cases, the position is responsible for correcting less complex problems, after receiving guidance. Application analysts are technical experts in the operation, configuration, and customization of packaged solutions. They work closely with business analysts analyzing an organization's activities to figure the best way of applying IT to improve its operations. Supports vendor developed applications by maintaining configuration tables, resolving tickets working with vendor help desk to resolve issue. Makes process suggestions to department for improved workflow using the application(s). Does small projects such as small application upgrades. May write simple ad hoc queries using Crystal reports, Enform, or BRIO. Develops more complex processes with customer and does more complex queries and development projects. Takes small projects from design, planning through implementation and maintenance. May do small project development projects on top of vended applications. Education/Experience: Requirements include Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus 3-5 years of customer and system support and/or systems analysis experience.
