CAD Analyst

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the ability to generate quotes using proprietary software to analyze customer supplied 3D CAD models. Will also have the ability to create quotes that may recommend design changes using an internal software system, develop and maintain knowledge of Protomold's processes in order to convey benefits and respond to inquiries from customer within quotes, and collaborate with internal resources as necessary. 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills

Mathematical aptitude

Strong computer skills

Prior experience or ability to learn graphical computer-aided analysis software

Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize

Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail 

Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

Detail-oriented and accurate

Able to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leads.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience designing injection molded parts or molds a plus.

Prior experience operating CAD or CAM software or CNC programming a plus.

 

Education Requirements:

Associate's degree in design or engineering technology, or Bachelor's degree related to math, science, engineering or business.
