Our client in Maple Grove is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team! This person will be responsible for managing industrial projects from conception to installation. This person will also be working with variety of people, from Engineers and Management, to elite customers.
Duties:
· Work closely with customers and the Sales department to develop system designs
· Develop motion designs to incorporate motion control systems, robotics, and part handling
· Prepare drawings for the fabrication and assembly of equipment
· Prepare and maintain bill of materials
· Create floor layouts and facilities requirements for customers
· Ensure cost effectiveness and accuracy of designs
· Provide technical assistance to the manufacturing team during system integration
· Create innovative solutions by collaborating with other engineers
· Provide customer support as needed
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
· 15+ years experience in Mechanical Engineering role
· Hands-on Project Management experience
· Excellent understanding of mechanical principals, mechanics, AutoCad 2D, SolidWorks, and motion controlled precision manufacturing
