The Administrative Secretary provides clerical and secretarial support to assigned area(s) and acts as a resource for area operations.
This position will support the Volunteer Services department, the Hospice program - including performing some MD transcription, and assist with keying employee timesheets.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Education:
Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree
Courses or workshops in PC software programs and word processing .
Minimum Experience:
1 year experience in an office/clerical setting
Preferred Experience:
One to Three Years in an office/clerical setting. Transcription experience.
Applicants must also meet the following requirements:
Knowledge of office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc...
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail,
Works well under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent Customer service skills
Must have ability to use independent judgment to perform a wide variety of tasks in a professional manner.
