McCannel Eye Clinic, founded by Dr. Malcolm McCannel in 1949, has an immediate opening for a full-time Ophthalmic Technician in Edina, MN.
The candidate we are looking for should have at least 6 months of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or be a recent graduate of an Ophthalmic Technology program. Excellent retinoscopy/refractometry skills required. Current COT or COMT certification preferred. Contact lens experience beneficial.
Duties include patient histories, workups, and comprehensive diagnostic testing including: refractometry/retinoscopy, tonometry, pachymetry, keratometry, visual fields, OCT, corneal topography, photography, A-scan, BAT, biomicroscopy, microscopy, and other tests as needed.
