The Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for processing paid loan accounts, insurance tracking, incoming mail, and complete special projects as assigned by manager.   This position processes paid in full loan accounts by sending original paid documents, lien records, UCC terminations, satisfactions of mortgage, etc. to the customer or appropriate entity.  The Loan Servicing Specialist also processes insurance by updating using loan tickler system or submitting to collateral insurance monitoring vendor for tracking.  Distributes weekly insurance tracking reports and works with lenders and CBAs to follow up on insurance default reports.  Force places policy and premiums when necessary.  This position acts as a liaison with the bank’s collateral insurance monitoring vendor to ensure proper flood insurance coverage remains in force.  Force places policies and premiums when necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and 1-2 years banking or bookkeeping experience.  The banking industry is changing quickly.  This person should have an understanding of regulatory compliance.  The successful candidate will have strong customer and interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize deadlines, and strong verbal communication skills.
