Emergency Communications Specialist
Coordinate the day-to-day operations (24/7) of the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) Emergency Communications Center (ECC). Interact with police, fire, emergency medical services (EMS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and other state and federal agencies. Determine priorities according to changing conditions and make critical decisions to ensure the safety of the tenants, passengers, police officers, firefighters, and other users of the Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) International Airport community.
The Emergency Communications Center is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Emergency Communications Specialists work 12 hours shifts. As the Communications Center must be staffed at all times, overtime is a requirement of the position and the Emergency Communications Specialists will be required to work a high percentage of weekends and/or holidays.
