Ranked Faculty - Advanced Montessori Programs
St. Catherine University Advanced Montessori Programs in the Department of Education invites applicants for an entry-level full time ranked faculty position beginning June 2013 pending budget approval. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience.
Responsibilities: Teach courses in online Montessori Master Degree programs (including advising, curriculum development, online courses, and travel to off-site programs); participate in department and university meetings and committees; advise students; assist in the development of new academic initiatives.Position Qualifications
Requirements: The qualified candidate must have AMI, AMS or equivalent Montessori credentials from an accredited institution at the Early Childhood or Elementary level; an earned Master's Degree in education or closely related field from an accredited institution; and a minimum of five years Montessori teaching experience at the elementary or early childhood level.
Preferred qualifications: Teacher education experience, online teaching or learning experience, Montessori credential in Early Childhood (Primary) with a minimum of five years Montessori teaching experience at this level (credential must be from AMI, AMS or equivalent Montessori credentials from an accredited institution); an earned doctorate or ABD in education or closely related field from an accredited institution; STEM certification, a background in educational technology.
