To provide implementation of water resources sampling and testing programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under direction, determines concentrations of nitrogen, phosphorus, chlorophyll and other analytes in lake and stream water samples. 

Under direction, collects water samples from swimming beaches, drinking water wells, and streams. Analyses bacteria levels in well and swimming beach samples.  Compiles lab results, prepares data reports, and enters data into a computer database.   Assist with maintaining automated flow monitoring stations, collecting samples from lakes, and collecting GPS data on wetlands.

High School Graduate or Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED) and at least one year of experience or related training OR any combination of education and experience equal to the above. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Must be available to work April 22, 2013 to October 25, 2013.

Selection Procedure

Final appointment is contingent upon the applicant passing a background investigation including a criminal history search. Costs of the background will be paid for by Three Rivers Park District.
