The Market Manager's primary responsibility is to grow overall revenue from the Design Firm market segment by creating targeted marketing programs and by nurturing relationships with Design Firms via direct contact to facilitate growth in this market segment.
Identifies trends in the Design Firm market segment through research, trade shows, associations and direct contact with Design Firms Creates marketing plans to target the Design Firm segment and grow overall revenue generated through Design Firms Locates and proposes new business deals by proactively contacting Design Firms to articulate and present Proto Labs capabilities, communicating results to appropriate sales person responsible for the account Screens potential business deals by handling objections and through regular follow-up with prospective Design Firms After potential business deals have been identified, assists sales reps to close business if appropriate or needed Coordinates internal resources if needed to ensure success of business deals Represents Proto Labs by presenting at conferences and trade shows if appropriate Develops and executes a quarterly plan to meet annual sales expectations Ensure all business sold is profitable business for Proto Labs Foster positive communication in all interactions throughout the organization Continually achieve/exceed goals • Maintain complete and comprehensive information in CRM Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Minimum Qualifications:5 -7 years of marketing experience - understanding of broad range of marketing tactics - print, direct mail, e-marketing, PPC/SEO, trade shows, content development, etc. 3 - 5 years business-to-business sales skills, partnership or alliance sales preferred Have built and maintained relationships at the executive management level Have presented to large groups in person and via phone Ability to successfully resolve customer conflicts Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organized and strong project management skills Creative problem solving to meet client needs Demonstrate sound business judgment Ability to work well with all functional work groups within the company High comfort level with technology and experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Independent, dependable, resourceful and self-motivated Preferred Qualifications: Marketing automation, database marketing and CRM experience preferred Business correspondence skills Education: Four year degree in marketing preferred
