Washburn Center for Children currently has an opening for a full-time Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Trainer Advanced Program Support position.  This position is primarily responsible for oversight of the Electronic Health Record Clinical Application used by Washburn, and training of users on their EHR system. Responsibilities include:  Development of training materials and orienting staff on EHR system as well as training staff on changes to system as necessary; Supporting end users when they  have questions or problems with clinical documentation component of the EHR Application;  acting as liaison between IT Coordinator and end users to resolve workflow or functional questions; and in collaboration with the IT, Billing and Program Departments, planning for, testing and implementing process and system improvements, enhancements and new applications to the EHR system.  Additional responsibilities include:  obtaining and tracking agency clinician’s licensing, credentialing, and supervision through a variety of spreadsheets/databases and insurance websites; Supporting the Clinical Director with a variety of quality assurance tasks and performing other administrative functions as needed. 

Candidates must have:  strong technical skills and the capacity to learn and adjust to new technical applications;  the ability to translate application language for effective user training;  highly proficient using MS Office Suite especially Word, Excel, OneNote and Access; and candidates should be able to type 60 words per minute.  This position requires a self-motivated individual who is able to take initiative in becoming more knowledgeable about the EHR software used by Washburn, as well as to pursue an understanding of mental health programming at Washburn; the ability to absorb new information and make appropriate decisions quickly; strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail a must; excellent communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with staff, clients and outside contacts from different and diverse cultural backgrounds; experience in the mental health field a plus.
