Health Unit Coordinator-Acute Rehab

The Health Unit Coordinator performs a variety of clerical functions to support the health care team staff. The HUC is the receptionist for the unit and greets patients and visitors and provides them with information and directions. The coordinator manages patient charts and medical record flow. In addition the HUC transcribes physician orders. 

The schedule for this position is as follows:

Monday: 9am-5:30pm

Tuesday: 9am-5:30pm

e/o Saturday and Sunday: 10am-2pm 



Preferred Education

Completion of a HUC training program


Minimum Experience

Demonstrated HUC experience of 1 year if HUC Vo-Tech training has not been completed


Preferred Experience

Previous HUC experience


Additional Requirements

Knowledge of medical terminology, communication skills, computer skills
