Assistant Professor of Nursing, Tenure-Track
Augsburg College seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Nursing position at its Rochester, MN campus, starting August 29, 2013. Augsburg’s BSN and MAN programs are fully accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education, (CCNE). Both programs are designed for working adults in the Twin Cities and Rochester, MN. The MAN program offers tracks of study in Transcultural Nursing and Transformational Nursing Leadership. In the fall of 2010-11, Augsburg launched an innovative Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program focused on Transcultural Nursing in Community life.
Major responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing courses to adult students in a hybrid format---face to face (primarily in Rochester, MN) and on-line. Participating in faculty and class meetings in Rochester and the Twin Cities is expected along with committee assignments in the larger College community and a commitment to further one’s own scholarship. Content expertise in nursing leadership, family health, and trans-cultural nursing is essential.
Master’s in Nursing degree is required. Earned or nearly completed doctorate with an emphasis on leadership and trans-cultural nursing will receive highest consideration.
Practice experience in care of adults and families, along with experience in nursing education desired.
