Painter/Maintenance Mechanic classification performs the majority of tasks noted below, and includes other related duties as assigned:
- Hang drywall and tape joints
- Apply paints, stains, oils and wallpaper to all walls, furniture and structures
- Examine and maintain painted exterior and interior surfaces.
- Will be responsible to read and understand blueprints
- Operates and maintains HVAC and associated equipment
- Will understand and operate Building Automation System
- Will fully utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (Facility 360)
- Maintains all plumbing systems
- Ability to obtain Certified Pool Operator certificate
- Develop and implement safety and training practices
- Performs all other activities as assigned by manager
REQUIREMENTS
- Have the ability to arrive at Target Field in 50 minutes or less
- Must be available to work the Twins home baseball games and other events at Target Field as appropriate
- Must be able to be “on call” for a rotational schedule
- 5 years in the commercial industrial painting industry
- Formal training from a vocational school or equivalent.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Familiarity with HVAC systems a plus
- Familiar with LEED requirements and green practices
- Able to operate a computer with basic skills knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Explorer
- A keen eye for detail and able to operate in a high finish facility.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor, lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in confined spaces wearing proper PPE
- Ability to work in extreme hot/cold, dirty spaces
- Ability to climb ladders and perform work overhead
- Ability to climb, stoop, bend, stand, crawl, push and pull for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform snow removal duties including shoveling and operating a snow removal equipment
- Ability to use hand tools and specialized power tools
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts and bobcats
- Ability to work at heights using appropriate fall protection equipment
