The operational analyst serves as a finance liaison for their assigned service line(s). To effectively fulfill their role, the Operational Analyst will be teamed with a Senior Financial Strategist and work with the service line leaders to identify their financial needs and opportunities. Examples of financial needs would include month end variance analysis, accounting system maintenance, analysis of growth opportunities and responding to other requests such as general analysis work, report generation, account hierarchy maintenance, and expense research. The Operational Analyst will help develop the service line’s financial knowledge base and will acquire and maintain knowledge of all systems and processes that impact financial data. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required. Other applicable degrees may be considered. Strongly prefer 1-3 years experience in financial analysis and/or accounting, preferably in a healthcare setting. Exceptional new grads also considered (transcript required). Other qualifications include: experience in developing personal computer spreadsheets and models, demonstrated communication and relationship building skills, ability to interact effectively with the rest of the operational analysis team, balance independent thinking with team support, juggle multiple projects, understand accounting methodologies, and have a strong aptitude for systems and data analysis.
