Incumbent acts as an official buying agent for Park Nicollet Health Services. Responsible for placing product orders for all routine purchasing with vendors for assigned commodities and products, and order management which includes research and resolving invoice or any other discrepancies. Communicates with end users the status of orders/payments as necessary. Works closely with sourcing and Contract Portfolio Manager in regards to contract availability, terms and pricing to ensure best value products through standardization, contract utilization and value analysis requirements are maintained. Works closely with appropriate vendors, supply chain staff, invoice entry staff and end users. Associate Degree. Minimum of five years experience in purchasing procedures, accounts payable or customer service.
The incumbent acts as the official buying agent for Park Nicollet Health Services Information Technology. A Purchasing Specialist in IT interfaces with technical staff and all other Park Nicollet Staff members to procure information technology-related goods and services. Additionally, this position works with other IT employees and contracted outsource employees to control inventory levels and the receipt and distribution of goods and services. This position also performs tasks to track and report IT assets, and to reconcile leased equipment invoices. The incumbent will use Lawson supply chain software and HP Service Manager.
