Allina Commons is the Minneapolis-based headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. Responsibilities

  • Staff Management:  Recruit, hire, train, and retrain team.  Develop and implement staff development.  Conduct performance reviews.  Manage conflict.  Manage team performance
  • Data Center Cabinet Management:  Design processes and procedures to ensure data center equipment is received, recorded, and installed into dat center cabinets following a documented process.  Manage the cycle of data center hardware.  Design DCIM functionality.  Train staff on DCIM processes
  • Data Center Cable Management:  Design and implement data center cabling and labeling standards.  Train staff on cabling/labeling processes.  Update and maintain all documentation
  • Infrastructure Management:  Design and implement solutions to ensure the data center facility services are available by actively monitoring the electrical, mechanical and fire suppression systems.  Implement and enforce data center facility physical security processes.  Create and report to monthly measurements. Train staff on Level One and Level Two problem resolution procedures
  • Batch Job Management:  Manage process to ensure enterprise batch jobs are properly scheduled, run and validated for completion.  Understands the dependencies between jobs.  Train staff on Level One and Level Two problem resolution procedures
  • Computer Operations Management:  Design, implement, and train data center staff on processes to ensure printed output is created and distributed.  Design, implement, and train data center staff on processes to ensure critical dat is backed up and migrated off-site

 


Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High school or GED equivalent, BS/BA preferred
  • ITIL certification required
  • 7 - 8 years of hands on experience in data center equipment installation, cabling, and labeling of network and SAN equipment and testing of all components
  • 1 - 2 years of providing work direction in a data center environment

  • Serves as subject matter expert associated with the daily shift work related to all data center processes

Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • Full-time: 40 hours/week
  • Day Shift: Monday - Friday
  • Occasional weekends
  • Physical location is the Anoka Technology Center in Anoka, MN
