The University of Minnesota is seeking a Data Analyst to join the McNamara Academic Center for Student-Athletes.
Responsibilities:
Query data sources to extract required data; generate graphs, reports and presentations; work with end-users to identify cohorts and determine actual data requirements for reports; audit, transform and cleanse data as needed to ensure accuracy and data consistency; continuous development and management of central report web portal accessed by various end users; develop, test and integrate local databases; develop data models; establish best practices and protocols for client/server software; program, test and implement data-driven web applications to produce dynamic reporting capabilities and data gathering sites.
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in MIS, Computer Science or a closely related field. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. Experience with project management and data modeling. Experience with: MSSQL Server, SQL programming, web development/programming/coding (HTML, CSS, PHP). Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with: Windows 2003/2008 Server, Windows IIS, MSSQL Reporting Services.
