Impaired Driver Coordinator~

 

This position exists to reduce Minnesota traffic-related fatalities and severe injuries by providing leadership, direction, planning, evaluation, integration and administration of a statewide plan to reduce impaired driving. This position focuses on highly visible and sensitive issues, deals with a complex array of state, federal and community stakeholders and requires an understanding of highly complex systems, laws and business processes. This position manages plans and projects having multi-disciplinary and cross-agency impact and represents the Department of Public Safety and the Office of Traffic Safety to external partners and stakeholders.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Four years of professional level experience in project or program management. A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for one year of professional level experience in project or program management. Experience must include all of the following:

  • Advanced knowledge of impaired driving state laws and programs to serve as a technical expert before departmental policy committees, legislative committees, other public forums and national conferences.
  • Advanced knowledge of impaired driving research, programs and industry best practices and standards.
  • Project management skills to effectively execute competing demands of multiple projects and priorities.
  • Leading group decision making, resolving conflicts and building consensus to create a shared vision.

Ability to write and edit project proposals, reports, procedures and requests for proposals that demonstrate clarity, logical thinking, quality, attention to necessary detail and appropriate depths of analysis.
