Impaired Driver Coordinator~
This position exists to reduce Minnesota traffic-related fatalities and severe injuries by providing leadership, direction, planning, evaluation, integration and administration of a statewide plan to reduce impaired driving. This position focuses on highly visible and sensitive issues, deals with a complex array of state, federal and community stakeholders and requires an understanding of highly complex systems, laws and business processes. This position manages plans and projects having multi-disciplinary and cross-agency impact and represents the Department of Public Safety and the Office of Traffic Safety to external partners and stakeholders.
Four years of professional level experience in project or program management. A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for one year of professional level experience in project or program management. Experience must include all of the following:
- Advanced knowledge of impaired driving state laws and programs to serve as a technical expert before departmental policy committees, legislative committees, other public forums and national conferences.
- Advanced knowledge of impaired driving research, programs and industry best practices and standards.
- Project management skills to effectively execute competing demands of multiple projects and priorities.
- Leading group decision making, resolving conflicts and building consensus to create a shared vision.
Ability to write and edit project proposals, reports, procedures and requests for proposals that demonstrate clarity, logical thinking, quality, attention to necessary detail and appropriate depths of analysis.
