Strom Engineering is seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist (Paralegal) with either a background in Engineering, Architecture or Construction. Job responsbilities include reviewing architectural, engineering and planning service fee proposals, contracts and other project related agreements including sub-consultant contracts and insurance requirements. Duties include thoroughly reviewing fee proposals, potential contracts and project documentation; Complete initial review of all new projects to ensure structure and fees are in accordance with excecuted agreement; Communicate contract exceptions to internal/external customers; Maintain contract files, legal documents and insurance certificates; Track and communicate contract change orders and amendments; Work with Project Managers to assist with fee estimates, new contracts, amendments, modifications, job closures and certificates. Requirements: Certified Paralegal; Bachelor's degree preferred (but not required); 7+ years contract-related experience; Previous experience working within an Architectural/Engineering/Construction industry environment; Contract knowledge (Federal, City/State, MnDOT, EJCDC, AIA) a plus; Must be PC Proficient (Microsoft Office, Adobe); Deltek Vision or other ERP Systems; Excellent written and oral communications skills; Strong time-management and organizational skills.
