This position is responsible for executing industrial sewing projects in a precise and timely manner using sewing machines to join together, reinforce, decorate, or perform related sewing operations, meeting approved quality standards in the manufacture of textile products.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Sew individual products per instructions using various industrial sewing machines
  2. Ability to properly thread top and bottom, change needles and adjust tension
  3. Meet plant quality standards
  4. Meet plant production standards
  5. Frequent style, machine and operation changes
  6. Fast paced environment
  7. Meet plant attendance and promptness requirements
  8. Maintain clean and organized sewing area
  9. Assist with additional projects as requested.

 Minimum requirements

  • 2 years experience operating multiple industrial types of sewing machines including single needle, sergers, button hole, double needle, binders and box “x” .

Abilities required

  1. Ability to read basic pattern instructions
  2. Manual dexterity
  3. Attention to detail
  4. Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  5. Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
  6. Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  7. Ability to work as part of a team
