Requirements
- Licensing requirements if educational degree is from an accredited school of social work; BA level = LSW
- Independent Living Skills Coach II requires a BA degree in allied behavioral science field from an accredited college or university; less than 2000 hours of experience working with persons with severe to persistent mental illness (SPMI)
- Independent Living Skills Coach III requires a BA degree in allied behavioral science field, with 2,000 hours, one-year post supervised experience from a mental health professional to persons with severe to persistent mental illness (SPMI)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Proficiency in oral and written communication
- Well maintained car and safe driving record
- A valid Minnesota driver’s license and current car insurance
- Ability to work independently & with the team
- Ability to work effectively (and remain awake) during nighttime hours
Responsibilities
- Ensure milieu safety
- Provide care and welfare of persons served
- Individual support and coaching
- Crisis prevention
- Medication administration/monitoring
- Progress Note documentation
- Medical Records support
- Light Housekeeping
Hours of work: Wednesday, Staff meeting 3-5pm; Thursday, 7:30pm-8:30am; Friday 8pm-8:30am and Saturday 8pm-8:30am
