As a result of our dynamic growth, we have an outstanding opportunity for a Full-Time Materials Receiving Specialist. We are looking for an individual with previous receiving area experience, who has the the ability to meet deadlines, work independently and who has previous leadership experience. This position is responsible for receiving activities of incoming materials, parts and components used in medical device manufacturing process. In addition to handling new product receivables, responsible for shipment of parts for vendor assembly and receiving activities for vendor- assembled product shipments. This position will function as a group lead for the receiving area.
o Provide work direction and prioritization to more junior receiving clerks
o Receive incoming shipments of new components and materials
o Document shipment receipt
o Compare identifying information on orders and incoming shipments to verify material accuracy
o Perform required inspections per written procedures to ensure component authenticity and quality
o Vendor Assembly Shipping and Receiving
o Pull parts and ship to vendors for PCB builds based upon information provided from Purchasing
o Receive shipments of vendor-assembled components back into inventory
o Verify accuracy of vendor-assembled shipments and maintain inventory records
o Operate hand truck to move shipments from receiving to storage or work area
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education: 2 year associates degree or equivalent experience
Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in a receiving function of an ISO 13485 compliance medical device company
o Excellent time management, writing and interpersonal skills
o Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
o Detail-oriented and organized
o Proficiency in MS, Word & Excel
o Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
o Experience providing leadership to lesser experienced employees
