Job Title: Credit Payment Analyst
Location: Eden Prairie, MN

Reports to: Credit Payments Supervisor
Supervises: None

Position Overview:
Handles inbound phone calls from customers regarding consumer credit and payment issues. We have a Part-time (16-20 hours a week, 4-8pm three days a week and Saturdays) opening at this time.

Effective verbal and written communication skills. Essential Functions:

Responsible for the timely handling of inbound credit calls and responding to customer’s questions. Handle secure credit card information and regulatory issues as it pertains to data security, customer privacy, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Meet department phone goals. Ability to research and resolve customer inquiries and appropriately notate in the system. Completes follow-up outbound calls as needed to banks and customers. Work with other departments, when necessary, to attain comprehensive solutions. Work special and daily projects as assigned. Maintain and effectively articulate a thorough knowledge and skill base for policies, procedures, and computerized information systems. Contributes to the team and the department in a positive and constructive manner. Provide great customer service to both internal and external customers. Advises upper management of any issues or concerns. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:
High school diploma or GED Associate’s degree (A.A), or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of relevant general experience required.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant specialized experience required/preferred.
Basic knowledge of credit and customer service terms.
Proficient grounding in Microsoft Windows platform, Email software packages and basic Excel spreadsheet creation knowledge is required.
Excellent internet navigation skills are necessary.
Effectively utilize multiple software packages as appropriate.

Physical Activity:
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
Keying: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm, as in handling.
Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work. Those activities, which demand detailed or important instructions spoken to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds with no less than a 40-db loss. Ability to receive oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound.

Visual Demands:
Operators: This is a minimum standard for those whose job requires work done at close visual range. (i.e. preparing and analyzing data and figures, clerical and administrative functions, accounting, computer terminal use, extensive reading, visual inspection, operation of machines, using measurement devices, assembly or fabrication of parts.

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
