Central Station Operators

These positions have a rotating shift schedule (every other weekend and holidays).  A scheduled day is 10 hours-will work 30 hours one week, 40 hours the next.


6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.


7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.



Position is responsible for handling incoming calls and alarm signal activities and responding to customer inquiries, primarily in the retail environment. Handles outbound calls to customers, emergency contacts, and Police/Fire departments, in regard to alarm activities.


· Monitor burglary/intrusion, fire, and hold up alarms; and dispatch authorities on alarm events

· Assist customers with inquiries on alarm handling, updating of account information, and clarification of alarm handling instructions.

· Quickly and accurately respond to alarm events

· Answer inbound telephone calls from customers and technicians

· Provide excellent customer service in all customer contacts

· Provide first-level technical support for customers in regard to the intrusion and fire product lines.

· Meet productivity expectations for alarm and telephone traffic


· Excellent communication and customer service skills required.

· A minimum of 1 year customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment.

· Security industry experience a plus

· Ability to handle urgent crisis situations in a calm and professional manner

· Ability to make sound judgment calls

· Strong problem solving and decision making skills

· Computer proficiency

· Able to pass background check and meet state security licensing requirements.

Shipping Clerk

JOB SUMMARY:         

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for operation of the shipping terminal, encompassing the duties of a shipper and picker.  This individual accurately and securely ships product from the warehouse in a timely manner using shipping pick-lists.


  • Runs the pick list report periodically to generate shipping pick-lists.
  • Interpret pick-lists and rapidly and accurately finds and pick parts for delivery to the out-going shipping dock.
  • Packages various groups of parts properly to ensure they are not damaged during shipping.
  • Operates the various shipping company shipping terminals that are installed at the out-going dock.
  • Follows proper inventory procedures and policies.
  • Monitors access by local employees and vendors in the shipping and warehouse areas.         


  • Performs daily cycle count, as required.
  • Assists Receiving personnel in warehouse clean up and reconfiguring, as requested.
  • Participates as a counter in yearly inventory and any other inventory counts.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • 1-3 years experience shipping with all types of parcel and LTL shipments, including UPS and FedEx.
  • Computer proficiency, including data entry.
  • Good figure aptitude.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to operate machinery.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Capable of driving company delivery truck and have a valid drivers license.

  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to sit up to 8 hours/day.
