  • The Patient Care Supervisor (PCS) functions as a supervisor in a clinical setting, above the scheduled staffing pattern as a resource, educational support, communication liaison, and role model or professional nursing practices
  • The PCS is accountable for all orientation to the unit, ongoing educational requirements/competencies and professional development to the staff
  • The PCS assists the Patient Care Manager (PCM) in responsibility of day to day operations and clinical coordinator of the unit
  • Provide leadership with regulatory standards, patient safety, infection prevention and best practice standards including core measures
  • Participates in planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating patient care activities, and management activities as delegated by the PCM


  • Current MN RN license
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required (or actively enrolled in a BSN/BAN program within 6 months of hire)
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
  • PCCN or CCRN certification preferred



  • Minimum 3 years of cardiac surgery and critical care nursing experience required, with 1-2 years of experience of supervisory/ preceptor preferred
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of computer documentation
  • BLS, ACLS, certifications required


  • Competent with Excel and Word
  • Demonstrated clinical expertise
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including collaboration, conflict resolution, consensus building, team building, personnel management, coaching and mentoring
  • Ability to problem solve, plan and organize

RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility.



Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule

  •  Part time position 32 hours per week
  • Day shifts (8 hour shifts during week)
  • Non-Contract

The city of Coon Rapids is a fast growing community on the Mississippi River just 20 minutes north of Minneapolis-St. Paul, and the metropolitan area's gateway to the northern part of the state. Coon Rapids offers excellent access to highways, dynamic community shopping centers with major retail anchors, and a wide variety of recreational activities including neighborhood and regional parks, a municipal golf course, indoor ice arenas, hiking and biking trails and swimming pools.
