Cambridge Medical Center, located in Cambridge, Minn., just north of the Twin Cities metro area, is a large multi-specialty clinic and a 57-bed hospital on one campus. Cambridge Medical Center has 900 employees and 50 physicians. Dedicated to providing patient-centered care in an atmosphere that promotes healing and comfort, Cambridge Medical Center provides services to more than 136,000 inpatients and outpatients each year.


  • Administers therapies, techniques and services offered by Respiratory Care Department
  • Serves as a resource regarding respiratory care
  • Institutes, monitors, and maintains mechanical ventilators, continuous positive pressure devices, oxygen and humidity devices
  • Institutes, monitors and maintains therapy gases such as oxygen
  • Administers aerosol, MDI, postural drainage with percussion, and chest-wall oscillation (vest and IPV) treatments
  • Maintains equipment in proper working order
  • Obtains blood samples for analyzing blood gas and acid-base values from arterial, venous and peripheral lines and from capillary samples
  • Performs bedside spirometry, oximetry (including overnight and walking) and capnography
  • Manages and directs patient care according to assess and treat protocols/pathways


  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy education program 



  • One year minimum adult and pediatric acute care experience


  • Invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, CPAP, oxygen titration and humidity devices, arterial blood gas sampling, aerosol delivery, airway clearance techniques, spirometry, oximetry, protocols


  • BLS
  • Medical Terminology
  • MN RT License

Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • Part time position 24 hours per week
  • 12 hour shifts
  • Nights shifts (Monday & Tuesday 7:00pm-7:30am)
  • Opportunity to pick up various shifts D/E/N
  • Weekend Rotations: Every 3rd weekend
  • Non-Contract
