Responsibilities

  • Provide management of surgery center providing outpatient surgeries 

Education

  • BA or BS in Nursing - will consider applicant who is committed to actively pursue bachelors within an agreed upon established timeframe
  • Master's degree preferred

Qualifications

Experience

  • Three (3) plus years clinical experience
  • Surgical experience required
  • 1 year previous leadership experience required
  • Previous management experience strongly preferred
  • Surgery or outpatient surgical experience strongly preferred

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills capable of building effective teamwork
  • Ability to implement change in a complex environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies
  • Ability to advance new clinical technology or clinical service in the department
  • Ability to interpret policies and procedures, identify non-compliance and take appropriate action
  • Ability to work independently

Licensure/Certifications

  • License Required: Current MN Nursing License

RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility


Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule

  • Full time position 40 hours per week
  • Day Shift
  • Primarily days but occasional offshifts may be required
  • Non-contract

The city of Coon Rapids is a fast growing community on the Mississippi River just 20 minutes north of Minneapolis-St. Paul, and the metropolitan area gateway to the northern part of the state. Coon Rapids offers excellent access to highways, dynamic community shopping centers with major retail anchors, and a wide variety of recreational activities including neighborhood and regional parks, a municipal golf course, indoor ice arenas, hiking and biking trails and swimming pools.
