The Office of the Minnesota Attorney General is accepting resumes for an Accounting Officer. The Office carries out important and challenging work on behalf of the people of Minnesota. The Accounting Officer will prepare financial and accounting reports; analyze and compile financial information in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles; assemble and prepare budget information; analyze accounting records; review, approve and account for invoices, purchases, and accounts payable; reconcile and analyze financial statements and reports; and perform other projects involving accounting-related matters.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Applicants should be familiar with accounting and budgeting principles and practices and have the ability to perform assigned job responsibilities with a high level of professional aptitude. Applicants should have a proven and successful track record, good academic credentials, outstanding analytical, financial, and communication skills, excellent judgment and character, and a professional deportment. Applicants must want to serve the public with a high level of distinction and have the skills and work ethic to put forth the very best work on behalf of the people of Minnesota.
