United Hospital, located in downtown St. Paul, Minn., is the largest hospital in the Twin Cities east metro area, providing innovative services and programs, such as the Nasseff Heart Center, United Heart; Vascular Clinic and Vascular Center; neuroscience care through the John Nasseff Neuroscience Institute for the treatment of brain aneurisms, Bentson Family Foundation Neurological Intensive Care Unit, Brain Tumor Center and the Nasseff Neuroscience Center; as well as psychiatry, womens health, surgical, rehabilitation and emergency services. Responsibilities: Answer calls for the department from patients, physicians, hospital staff, referring physicians'offices, and other customers.
Greet and assist outpatients. Verify patient identity using established process.
Make sure patients are ready for their exams; they have been to lab or pharmacy as appropriate. Escort them to those locations if needed. 
Give changing instructions to patients. Assist patients to change clothes if they need help.
Enter and schedule imaging orders when necessary.
Assist technologists and radiologists as requested.
Solve a variety of problems for our customers, e.g. patients who are in the wrong area, who are ill or anxious.

Education: High school diploma.

Qualification/Skills: One year experience in a medical office setting (additional education may be substituted for the one year of work experience)
Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
Ability to speak clearly and concisely
Ability to prioritize work load
Ability to adapt to variable workload

Work Schedule - Additional Position Details: Every Saturday and Sunday, 7AM to 4PM.  Additional hours may be offered on day or evening shift.
