Manager - Financial Aid Direct Loan Program

This role will provide complete oversight of all Direct Loan processing functions in the Financial Aid organization. Working closely with the Director and Associate Director of Financial Aid, he/she will monitor, analyze all processes tied to the Direct Loan and Financial Aid processes. The Manager will identify process improvements and system enhancements related to the transmission of electronic financial aid applications, origination, acknowledgment, and disbursement records in the Federal Direct Loan process. In addition, the Manager (utilizing work force management technology), will create and monitor daily, weekly and monthly processing production schedules . She/he will also be responsible for creating and updating daily dashboards to commutate progress all financial aid processing functions to key stakeholders.

The Manager of Financial Aid Direct Loan Program will:
- Provide insight and visibility to all financial aid processes
- Assertively analyze all electronic transmissions between Capella and the Direct Loan Program
- Identify and implement process and/or system enhancements to eliminate errors and increase productivity
- Provide financial aid production forecasts based on enrollment projections.
- A Loan Reconciliation Analyst will report to The Manager and assist in monitoring all DL processes.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred

- 3+ years experience administering the Federal Direct Loan program

- 3+ years experience working with PeopleSoft

- 3+ years successfully managing employees

- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience resolving business issues

- Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements in Financial Aid

- Critical thinking skills and ability to connect dots

- Preferred experience with IEX Workforce management software

- 2-3 years experience and/or knowledge with COD and G5
