Position Description:

The primary responsibility is the manufacture of insecticide products. This involves the pumping, transferring and blending chemicals; management of personnel, process equipment and materials to produce on a designated schedule. Formulators are responsible for completing production records and production reporting. Assist with a variety of material handling tasks related to production and warehousing.

The position reports to the Production Manager and works closely with the Production Planner, the Production Assistant and the Material Handler Foreman. This position also has interacts with persons in the

Education Requirements:

2-4 years of post secondary education in a technical field. BS preferred.

Information Technology Skills:
• Strong Microsoft product skills.
• Experience in the use of an ERP system.

Mathematics
• Successful completion of higher algebra.
• Candidate must pass a basic skills test.

Communication
• Writing skills.
• Ability to draft reports.
• Ability to create a spreadsheet.
• Experience with e-mail in a professional setting.

Physical Ability
• Candidate must be capable of lifting 50-75lbs
• Employment is dependent on passing a pre-employment physical.

Business Skills
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to share responsibility and function in a team.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.

Experience:

• Minimum two years working in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Chemical handling experience is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge or experience with the following chemical processing equipment: Agitators, pumps, valves, piping, controls, weigh scales, chilling/heating unit and packing equipment.
• Experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Experience with plant services such as steam, hot water, compressed air and nitrogen.
• Previous supervising experience.
