The Corporate Recruiter will work in partnership with the HR Team to provide staffing support for a variety of positions within Capella University. This person will manage the full life cycle recruiting process for designated positions including creating job postings, leading strategy sessions with hiring managers, developing advertising campaigns, sourcing and evaluating resumes, scheduling, phone and in-person interviews, evaluating candidate qualifications and job fit, preparing offers and reporting.

Primary responsibilities include:
- Developing and applying effective recruiting strategies to identify and attract well-qualified candidates.
- Conducting high energy interviews which reinforce the Capella brand and values while generating enthusiasm with candidates. Ensures candidates have a positive Capella experience.
- Conducting strategy meetings with hiring managers and develops effective recruitment strategies.
- Sourcing candidates using cost-effective means including Internet searching, advertising, networking, social-networking and referrals.
- Conducting effective resume review, scheduling and interviewing of applicants and recommending candidates for employment.
- Partnering with HR colleagues (HR Generalist, Operations, Comp & Benefits) to ensure a consistent recruiting, on boarding and transition of all candidates.
- Implementing recruiting strategies and activities to ensure diversity objectives are met.
- Staffing related projects such as interview training, presenting, developing employment brand, collateral, participating in job fairs, developing interviewing tools, vendor assessment, etc.
- May participate in HR or business change initiatives designed to improve organizational effectiveness, retention or compliance efforts.
- Must maintain data integrity with daily and weekly reporting, updating systems and forecasting.

Qualifications
5 + years recruiting experience from entry level to director in a corporate/complex environment preferred.
- Demonstrated experience hiring for multiple positions/classes with hiring deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end recruiting with full ownership of all processes.
- Must have experience in filling a non-exempt and exempt level workbench.
- High level of creativity regarding hiring plans, delivery dates, interview structure and techniques and advertising / candidate sourcing.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Skilled at managing multiple changing priorities within very tight timelines.
- Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System. Talent Acquisition Management Systems--PeopleSoft preferred.
- Must be a strong team player.
- Strong oral, written and persuasive communication skills.
- Excellent customer service, attention to detail, organization and time management skills. Must consistently demonstrate the ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs. Requires the ability to make sound judgments and take the initiative to make decisions/choices within the functional area of responsibility.
- Ability to generate a quality pipeline of candidates in a timely manner.
- Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred.
- Solid understanding of fundamental Human Resource practices and policies including EEO and Affirmative Action and an understanding of business strategies and concepts employment laws and regulations
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, priorities, ambiguity and rapid change.
