Dolphin Staffing is seeking a Website Administrator that will be responsible for developing and supporting the external website and internal site for one of the Twin Cities' largest and longest-standing law firms. The person in this position will play a key role in strategic planning for the sites by providing expertise on technical capabilities and trends in web development.

The Website Administrator works closely with Marketing and Business Development on the external Web site to achieve a site that supports the firm’s marketing strategies. It also involves close collaboration with Marketing staff to prioritize projects and manage content. The Website Administrator works with the Information Resources department on managing the intranet site to provide firmwide information, knowledge, and resource sharing.

Basic job duties and responsibilities for this position will include:
  • Develop, update and maintain the technical components of the external Web site. Work with the hosting vendor and other technical resources to support the site. Create new functionality within the site to enhance it and meet the marketing needs of the firm.
  • Develop, update and maintain the technical components of the intranet site (Briefcase). Advise staff on software capabilities. Develop and support interfaces and integration with other internal systems. Create new functionality within the site to enhance it and meet the knowledge management needs of the firm.
  • Stay current on web technologies and trends in order to advise and recommend approaches for Web site development. Take initiative and lead projects to ensure that the Web sites are continually being developed to meet their goals.
  • Develop, update and maintain the technical components of the intranet site (Briefcase). Advise staff on software capabilities. Develop and support interfaces and integration with other internal systems. Create new functionality within the site to enhance it and meet the knowledge management needs of the firm.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Business Development and Information Resources departments on Web site initiatives. Interact with key stakeholders such as Practice Groups to advise on web capabilities. Manage multiple projects according to department priorities and provide regular status updates on progress.
  • Manage Web site statistics and prepare status reports and highlight key trends as defined by the Director of Business Development & Marketing.
  • Lead vendor selection process for projects requiring new software platforms or external technical services.
  • Responsible for the stability and integrity of Web site technology. Work to ensure Web site up-time meets goals, and take proactive measures to achieve sustained performance objectives.
  • Responsible for software upgrades, including planning, testing and performing upgrade processes on the sites, including leading end-user QA testing.
  • Provide web development support to other initiatives in the firm, such as graphic or html development needs.
Required Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related area or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience working in web development and support.
  • Solid knowledge of web design and development concepts and standards. Information Architecture and Social Media skills desired.
  • Solid development processes, with structured testing and roll-out of new capabilities. Experience with a packaged content management system, including managing software upgrades.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, expertise in troubleshooting and solving system problems. Able to work independently, as well as teaming with other IT staff members.
  • Project management skills, with a proven ability to successfully complete projects on time and on budget. Able to handle multiple projects.
  • Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively with both technical staff and end-users; excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven expertise in HTML/CSS, ASP.NET, Javascript and XML. Experience with Microsoft IIS Server, SQL Server, browsers and web graphic production.
  • Software experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Photoshop, Visual Studio and Microsoft Office.
  • Skills in Ektron CMS 400.NET, Flash/Actionscript, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Visio desired. Use of Lawport a plus.
