The Patient Care Supervisor actively supervises the clinical operations of a large volume CareCenter in partnership with the Clinic Manager and Clinic Operations Director. You will provide daily workflow direction and supervision of site staff to ensure providers have adequate staffing assistance to accommodate clinic efficiency while also achieving site objectives. You will directly supervise registered/licensed nursing staff and other patient care staff (CMA, MA, LPN, Therapists, etc.).    As the nursing supervisor, other responsibilities include but are not limited to: recruitment, hiring, performance evaluations, pay decisions, discipline, firing and staffing, leading and/or participating in improvement projects/teams. Supervises training of staff upon hire and ongoing development to ensure that employees are competent to perform the skills and tasks required for their position. Ensures that staff training complies with OSHA, Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements. Advises and leads patient care staff with regard to changes in the medical community to ensure best practices and may be responsible for clinical policy/ procedure development and implementation. Provides direction and assists with care of patients in urgent and emergent situations. Other duties include promoting the clinic to providers and community members. Assists in achieving coordination, consistency, and integration in the operation of the clinic site in conjunction with clinic leadership, and assists with the development and implementation of required learnings, policies and procedures.   In order to qualify for this role, you must possess:
  • Registered Nurse. Current Minnesota RN License. BS or BA in Nursing or Healthcare related field.
  • Five years of nursing experience in an ambulatory or inpatient care setting including two years of supervisory or nursing leadership experience in a clinical setting. Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Proven Patient Centered Care and excellent performance as an RN.
  •   Preferred
  • Continuously improves and maintains expertise in profession, develops better processes and continuously improves skills
  • Three to five years of nursing leadership experience in specialty clinic setting. Experience in Med/Surgery.
  • Experience in acute/emergent care with knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols
  • Knowledge of EMR and performance management.
