We currently have an opportunity for a Security Operations Engineer within our Information Services and Technology Department. The person in this position provides technical and security expertise for initiatives that pertain to security integration within the technical infrastructure.  This person needs to advocate and collaborate security initiatives across technologies and platforms.  This role requires the subject matter expertise to adapt and own any task; thus enabling a unified approach between Security Management and Technical Infrastructure services.  

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Manages the integration of security architecture into HealthPartners current technical infrastructure
a. Ensures technical initiatives have addressed security components and integrate within the security architecture
b. Reviews and provides consultation for vended products; assessing the capacity to integrate into the current security infrastructure
c. Participates within all security initiatives that require Technical infrastructure expertise and representation.

2. Consults with technical infrastructure to mitigate security risks
a. Formulates risk based solutions to meet security infrastructure needs
b. Recommends security architecture solutions to Technical Infrastructure and Security Management

3. Monitor and review hardening and architectural standards
a. Collaborates with Technical Management to ensure that Security policies, processes, and standards align with the strategies of the organization and capacity within Technical Infrastructure Services.
b. Designs, documents and defines security procedures and standards for Technical Infrastructure.

4. Provides technical infrastructure oversight for Security Initiatives.
a. Consults with IS&T Security Management regarding initiatives and strategies regarding the security infrastructure and health of the technical infrastructure

5. Provides technical costs and risks for security solutions.
a. Partners with Technical Management aggregate infrastructure costs and risks for security architecture.
b. Develops and presents technical solutions and mitigations to security initiatives and requirements.

6. Advocates the needs of security architecture as it aligns with the services provided by HealthPartners and the regulatory requirements tied to those services to technical infrastructure teams.

ABILITIES:
1. Communicate with staff, management, and executive leadership
2. Understand HealthPartners technical infrastructure and its alignment across the organization
3. Interface with and/or influence functional/cross-functional management and staff
4. Effectively establish and maintaining working relationships at all levels of the organization
5. Effectively communicate security initiatives
6. Calculate and mitigate risk

SKILLS:  
1. Strong risk and gap assessment experience
2. Strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
3. In depth knowledge of project management methodology and software tools (Niku, Microsoft Project)
4. Project management and or coordination experience
5. Ability to reconcile/integrate competing interests
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
7. Proven experience within a multitude and platforms and network solutions
8. Arbitration and negotiation capabilities
9. Experience calculating costs and benefit analysis
10. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and Security Standards (e.g. PCI, SOX, Joint Commission, ISO27001, 27002, NIST etc)

KNOWLEDGE:
1. Four-year college or advanced degree
2. 10+ years of experience within Technical Infrastructure services (e.g. network, windows platforms, unix platforms, database management, telecom, LAN, WAN)
3. 5+ years IT security experience
