Systems Administrator / Programmer
CHANHASSEN, MN

SUMMARY:
Be the primary support for our Payroll and CRM systems. Act as DBA to support and administer all SQL server databases across all company locations. Be the first and second level support for all user related queries for these systems. Work closely with network administrators and programmers to implement and administer cost-effective and efficient solutions for the Bergquist Company.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Knowledge of and experience with using SQL server 2000/2005 advanced administration.
2. IIS, Apache configuration, Jar files, Web deployment, Java application programming and application deployment.
3. Report writing using Business Intelligence software like Crystal reports and Cognos 8.
4. Application implementation experience with client/server interfaces. Experience with Windows XP/7; Server 2003/2008

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Provide primary and secondary support for the corporate payroll and CRM systems.
2. Provide advanced SQL database administration including backups/restores, monitoring, tuning DB performance, running SQL scripts to monitor the system and modify tables when required. This includes Access, SQL server 2000/2005/2008
3. Familiarity with Infor’s Epiphany CRM Studio tool would be a big plus.
4. Provide programming using Java programming language. Java programming skills required and other programming/scripting skills will be a plus.
5. Install patches/releases, coordinate application development for multiple projects and assist in troubleshooting software application issues.
6. Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity/security & recovery.
7. Create and maintain support procedures and user documentation for all applications/systems.
8. Has thorough experience with IIS, Apache, web servers, Application servers and be able to independently deploy web applications.
9. Has understanding of Business Intelligence and be able to generate reports per the management requests using either Cognos or Crystal reporting packages or SQL server reporting services.
10. Remains abreast of new computer-related technology and participates in the development and enforcement of Corporate IT Standards.
Possess strong technical aptitude and ability to research & solve complex issues independently.
11. Maintain quality customer service skills, above average organization and communication skills with a strong work ethic. Team player with the ability to work well independently.
12. On-call systems – shares the responsibility for the IT Emergency Pager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree required and 3 -5 years experience as an Developer/database administrator or System Administrator.
